Low intensity – Suitable for guests who weigh a minimum of 50lb (23kg), geared for everyone including families with children who are still under the 90lb (41kg) requirement. Everyone paddles assisting the guide who takes your 18ft Maravia Monsoon raft down a more conservative route on the river.

Itinerary

Arrive and sign in at the OWL Rafting front desk.  Join others for your trip briefing, gear up, and climb aboard the OWL bus for a short transfer to the 'put-in', the start of your river day.  Here you meet your guide who will have you practice your strokes to prepare for the rapids ahead. Your guide sets the boat up for the best line, and with everyone paddling, splash through waves and get wet – the water is warm with Ontario's hot summer weather.  Each rapid on the Ottawa is followed by a 'pool', giving you time to relax and prepare for the next one. We stop for a snack and maybe some cliff-jumping, float and perhaps see an osprey, beaver, or fish jumping out of the water.  

Before you know it, you meet the Pontoon Boat, where you'll climb aboard for a hearty hot barbequed meal on the return cruise to our resort. Rafter wrap-up lets you relive your day's adventure, watching a short video of your own trip: a great souvenir to purchase. Before departure, enjoy a sauna or a hot outdoor shower and play on our sandy beach – canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.

Booking Policy

- Your reservation is always subject to confirmation via email. Your reservation will initiate the reservation process. We will keep you informed about the status of your order via email.

- Immediately after submitting your reservation, you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.

- Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email from us. In the email, an E-Ticket will be attached. We will also be providing you with all the detailed information about your tour or product. We will also be providing contact information for local tour provider for your convenience or re-confirmation purposes, if needed. There will also be emergency contact numbers, if assistance is needed, and you need to contact us.

- Simply print your E-ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of the experience. Please remember your E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.

Cancellation Policy

- You can cancel up to 30 business days in advance of the experience for a full refund.

- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 30 full business days prior to the experience's start time.

- Within 30 business days of the experience's start time, a cancellation fee of $50 per person per raft trip will be charged.

- Any changes made less than 7 full business days prior to the experience's start time will not be accepted, and the amount you paid will not be refunded

- If OWL Rafting, or you, need to change your reservation due to COVID-19 health protocols, we will transfer your trip to a later date or issue you a voucher.

- Please be aware that cut-off times are based on the experience's local time.
